The Digestive Health Foundation regularly engages in media activities and welcomes the opportunity to provide background information or media comment on relevant issues as they arise.

We have a team of media spokespeople, all authoritative individuals in their areas of specialisation, who are available to assist the media with enquires or provide comment on relevant issues

Areas covered include

  • Diets (Low Fat, Lactose Intolerance etc)
  • Coeliac Disease
  • Helicobacter Pylori
  • Stomach Disorders (Peptic Ulcer Disease, Cancer etc)

  • Drug and alcohol related areas

Titles and attribution

Please note that all spokespeople should be referred to as speakers of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia or the Digestive Health Foundation (please check with individual speakers). Hospital or other titles are secondary when speaking on behalf of the GESA or DHF.

Notice Of Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the Society will be held on Friday 24 October 2008 in Great Hall 2 of the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre Brisbane, Queensland, commencing at 1730.

Items for discussion at the AGM must be submitted in writing.

Agenda items are required by the close of business (17:00) on Friday 29 August 2008

Review of "Guidelines on Infection Control in Endoscopy"

A committee has been convened to review and update these guidelines, to ensure that they remain relevant.
